A woman pours chopped corn kernels into a large cauldron of sugar cane juice to prepare Chicha de Mais.
The traditional beverage is sweet and refreshing. First she must boil
the mixture to pasteurized it before serving it to a group of visitors.
On truly special occasions, they let it ferment for a few days until it
becomes a sour but potent alcohol.
