Feature: Rituals & Religion
Vyas Chhatris is the cenotaph (symbolic tomb) of Vyas the Sage. This sage compiled the longest scripture in the world, known as the epic Mahbharata. According to legend, the script was dictated to him by Ganesh, the hindu god with an elephant's head, and the son of Shiva the Destroyer. Vyas Chhatris is more commonly known to tourists as the sunset point, for it offers a fine evening view of the Jaisalmer Fort.
