Camel drivers walk for days in the hope to buy, sell
or trade good camels.
The small town of Pushkar in Rajasthan hosts one of
the world's largest camel fairs as well as a Cultural festival.
Excerpt from J-Philippe's story: We arrived there just as the purple
light of the setting sun reflected in the clouds, and we watched with
wonder as the orange ball sank behind the silhouettes of the camels.
There were thousands of them all snorting and screaming. The camel
drivers, most of them Marwari fighters, had set up camp sites everywhere
we looked. |
