Bishnoi and Bhil school children receive a daily serving of corn  mixed with raw sugar, donated by a local NGO.
The NGO has established two schools in Barjarsar. One is staffed with an official teachers paid by the government and the other with a dedicated volunteer. As an incentive to get students to attend school, they offer them a daily lunch of cooked corn mixed with raw sugar. This food is an important supplement to the malnourished population.
