Panama A young girl waits patiently on a bench by the river for the arrival of a group of visitors. She and the other young girls of the village will perform the dance of the colibri (hummingbird). The other young girls will form a loose undulating circle, a representation of a flower, while she darts in and out like a hummingbird feeding on nectar. Embera Drua, Chagres River, Panama. |
